Healing Chapters

Chapter 29 invites you to share a chapter or two of your unique journey that has shaped who you are today. This is your opportunity to tell your story in your own words—your experiences, challenges, achievements, or moments of personal growth.


In a safe and facilitated environment, participants are supported to explore and process their experiences by putting pen to paper. Reflecting on their own unique journey as they write, builds emotional resilience and strengthens social connections. The program is guided by facilitators and peers with lived experience, creating a supportive, non-judgemental space where participants feel validated, empowered and have their voices heard.


Healing Chapters provides


  • Facilitated sessions where participants share experiences, receive guidance, and reflect on coping strategies, supported by facilitators with lived experience.
  • Creative Wellbeing Sessions including optional activities such as art, writing, or expressive exercises to support reflection, healing, and emotional expression.
  • Community Connection, fostering empathy, peer support, and lasting relationships in a safe, non-judgemental environment.


By participating in Healing Chapters, individuals become part of a compassionate, supportive community informed by lived experience. 


One-to-one writing support for people who prefer a quieter, guided approach. 


Not everyone feels ready to share their story in a group — and that’s okay.


If you prefer to write independently but would value encouragement, structure, or someone to talk things through with, you can access support online from a trained facilitator and/or editor. They’re there to help you find your voice, shape your ideas, and feel confident putting your story into words — without pressure or judgement.


Like all Chapter 29 programs, Healing Chapters is  not only grounded in lived experience and compassion, it is inclusive. 


Whether you join a group or write alone you’ll be supported to reflect, process, and reconnect with your own strength — while still feeling part of a broader community that values every voice and every chapter.

 Mental Health & Wellbeing

  • Reflect safely on experiences of distress, loss, trauma, or recovery to support emotional processing and healing.
  • Reduce emotional burden, anxiety, and internalised distress through guided narrative expression.
  • Strengthen emotional regulation, self-understanding, and resilience during periods of vulnerability.

  • Reduce isolation and feelings of shame through empathy, shared experiences, and peer support.
  • Build belonging and supportive relationships in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
  • Connect with others facing similar challenges


Communication & Confidence

  • Improve communication skills, self-expression, and narrative coherence through structured storytelling.
  • Build confidence and personal agency by being heard, validated, and respected.
  • Recognise personal growth, strengths, and achievements within your life story

 Every chapter is Unique

  • Submit anonymously or under your first name.
  • Optional dedication to someone who inspired you.
  • Stories can be written, audio, or video, with no minimum or maximum length


Before You Submit

  • Ensure consent for any photos or videos, including from others appearing
  • Change names if needed to protect privacy or safety.
  • Decide how your story will be published (website, social media, newsletter)


By sharing your chapter, you help build a safe, supportive community where voices are heard, hope is restored, and resilience is strengthened.
