Every story matters. Sharing a chapter of your life can help educate, inspire others, or give hope to someone who may be experiencing a similar experience. Many people also find writing about their experiences is helpful in processing difficult times, or helping in their journey towards healing or acceptance. We hope this may be the case for you too.

We encourage you to share a story of meaning to you, whether it is about a pivotal moment in your life or a person who has made a difference to your life. Click here for some questions to help you get started.

We will not publish stories that go against our values or that denigrate individuals or groups of people. We will also not publish graphic imagery, scenes depicting violence, or an overuse of obscene language.

We respect your privacy and understand that many people may wish to remain anonymous. Whilst we will ask for your personal details when you submit your chapter, we will not publish these. 

Stories will be published under a pseudonym (different name) or using your first name only. If you would like to use a pseudonym, you can choose your own or one will be assigned to you. If you would like your story published using your first name, you can indicate this on your submission form.

When you submit your story you will be required to accept our terms and conditions, giving consent to Chapter 29 to use your story.

You may also be required to fill in a ‘Consent to share’ form if:

- You have interviewed a third party on video;

- You have submitted a photo containing a third party; or

- We feel that a third party mentioned in your chapter is easily identifiable. 

We will contact you if this is required.

There is no required length or limit to your chapter, as everyone’s story is different. It can be as long or as short as it needs to be. You are also welcome to submit multiple chapters that can be published in a weekly, fortnightly or monthly series.

Absolutely! We have lots of tips to help you get started, however we know that writing does not come easy to everyone. 

Everyone's story deserves to be told. If you need help in sharing your story please contact us and we can pair you with one of our amazing team members, who will meet with you to record or transcribe your story. 

You can also record your story through an app on your phone, send us the file and we will transcribe it for you. 

The submission form allows you to submit two files which can be a PDF, word, jpg, or png, voice audio. You will also be able to provide a link to an external site for viewing of a video, music etc. 

If you re file is to large to upload or you need to upload more than two documents, please email us your submission at connect@chapter29.com.au 

 Submissions may be edited to correct grammar or spelling mistakes. If we have any questions regarding your submission we may be in contact prior to publication. 

Absolutely! A photo will help people connect with your story. If you do upload a photo, we ask you to label the image so we can correctly identify it with the story. If you do not provide an image to accompany your chapter, we may use a stock image that we feel best represents your chapter 

As per our terms and conditions, if you change your mind once your story has been submitted, email us at connect@chapter29.com.auand we will remove your story from our website and/or Facebook within 24 hours. 

  Some chapters will be highlighted via our social media account, or in our newsletter. Our social media accounts are monitored, and any inappropriate comments will be removed and the user blocked. 

As per our privacy policy, your personal details will not be shared with any other party

It may be that our team members are still reading through submissions and have not quite reached yours yet. Please be patient.

We may choose not to publish certain stories, usually for one of the following reasons:

- There is a risk to you or someone mentioned in your story.

- The topic is inappropriate and not within our guidelines.

- We have concerns regarding consent of images/video footage. 

If any of these is the case, our team will be in contact and we will work with you to get your story published.
